Featuring an expanded lineup of longtime band members and special collaborators, the album reflects the energy, musicianship and audience participation that have made Hadrian’s Wall a favourite at Highland Games and Celtic festivals across North America.

Released in 2009, Tonight’s Lineup… captures Hadrian’s Wall performing live at the Glengarry Highland Games in Maxville, Ontario. Recorded on July 31, 2009, the album showcases the energy, musicianship and audience connection that had become hallmarks of the band’s performances after more than a decade on the North American Celtic music scene.
Featuring an expanded lineup of talented musicians, the recording blends traditional Scottish and Irish music with Hadrian’s Wall’s contemporary Celtic style, reflecting the excitement of a live Highland Games performance. Dedication
This album includes a heartfelt tribute to Jackie Smith of The Brigadoons, recognizing his encouragement, friendship and influence on Hadrian’s Wall’s journey in traditional Celtic music. Neil credits Jackie with introducing him to many traditional songs and inspiring the band to keep those traditions alive. It’s a lovely piece of history, and I would preserve it on the page—perhaps alongside a photo of Jackie if you have permission to use it.
